Angostura 5 Year Old Gold Rum
A blend of pure Trinidadian rums which has been slowly aged for a minimum of 5 years in oak bourbon barrels.
This is a gold coloured rum, which is is rich, mellow and smooth. It's taste has a remarkably fruitcake hint to its taste. However it goes a lot further, and the flavours deeper, with mild chocolate notes, spice, vanilla and toasted oak flavours from the barreling process which all blend delecatably to provides a warm and mellow finish.
Perfect Serve
The mellow profile of this rum means its easily enjoyed as a sipping rum, or over over ice for those warm evenings.
For a longer drink, mix with Fentimans Curiosity Cola (which has cinnamon flavours, which blend with the vanilla and spice in the rum).
However this is a really versatile rum and its deep character works exceptionally well when mixed in cocktails.
