Dead Man's Fingers
Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, the team at Dead Man's Fingers wanted to do things a little different.....
"We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite"
So..... they rejected the old traditions, chosing instead to explore new and unusual flavours, and had these get "comfortable" with nutmeg, vanilla and a hint of Orange.
The result was their first drink - the Spiced Rum, which works well on its own as well as mixed in cocktails or as a long drink.
The name.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Crab is exceptionally popular, and the long, finger-like gills inside the crab are called ‘dead man’s fingers’ (folklore says if you eat them, you'll die..... this isn't true, they're just not the tastiest, so are removed and discarded).
As with their flavours, they didn't go down the route of naming or taking inspiration from the Caribbean or pirates (they think this has been done more than enough). They felt the name was so wrong, it just felt right! Apparently...... the skull is that of the last man to eat the Dead Man's Fingers.....
Now, after many new, interesting, and delicious rums - they have worked hard to bring us additional drinks. Not content with rum they bring rum liqueur. But if there's rum liqueur, why not tequla liqueur? And if Tequila Liqueur, why not Tequila?
Explore the range with us - we've even created a multi pack where you can pick and mix the DMF range. Find your new favourite(s) or maybe just stock up on what you already know and love. Either way, Gin Fling has you covered!
