Last Word
The origin of the Last Word cocktail are said to have been at the Detroit Athletic Club during the prohibition era in the US.
Whilst it fell out of fashion for a time, it came to prominence again in 2004 and became something of a cult hit in the Seattle area before becoming popular the world over.
This is a great cocktail with a mix of ingredients each giving something special. It is a good palate cleanser due to the lime and is exceptionally well balanced. A little sour, a little sweet and definitely delicious!
Ingredients:
25ml Gin - Any good classic gin will work, but we love this with Hernö Gin
25ml Lime Juice
25ml Green Chartreuse
25ml Maraschino Liqueur
Method:
Add all the ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail glass and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
