Brouwerij Verhofstede Edelweiss Gin
The history of Brouwerij Verhofstede dates back to 1885, and Stefanie De Jaegher (who later married Julien Verhofstede). Initially Beer was brewed, but in the 1960's a move into spirits occured. Now with over 130 years of experience, and four generations of the same family they continue to create a range of delicious drinks.
This gin is created by combining twenty different carefully selected botanicals with high quality grain alcohol. Once the flavours have infused the alcohol, they then combined with water from the historic Edelweiss springs - giving the gin its name.
The botanicals chosen for this gin give a well-rounded gin, which has a delicate sweetness to it. This combines with a smooth and velvety mouthfeel which helps impart the flavours. It has floral notes, and a refreshing touch of citrus which linger perfectly in the mouth.

Perfect Serve
This works well with both a neutral tonic, such as Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water, or for something a little more flavourful - try their Mediterranean Tonic Water.
Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. For a garnish, add a few juniper berries and a leaf or two of fresh basil.
