Copperhead Barrel Aged II Gin
With their second edition barrel aged gin Copperhead have really made something extra special.
Taking their ever-popular classic gin, Copperhead have rested it for three months on unique Portuguese "first-fill" Madeira barrels. The result is a gin with a pink copper hue in the glass.
On the nose there are refined notes, taking from the classic gin and the barrel both. Fresh citrus, the warm sweetness of red fruits, figs and grapes all meeting with the spiciness of nutmeg, coriander, and of course (it is a gin!), juniper.
On the palate you have the recognisable flavour profile from the classic Copperhead Gin. However, this is enhanced which gives a truly lucious experience. The botanicals in the gin join with the light influence from the wood to give an harmonious blend. It's finish is warm and long.

Perfect Serve
For such a harmonious gin, try sipping over ice to really experience the additional flavours in the gin.
However, should you want a longer gin and tonic, we recommend a neutral tonic. The classic gin is enhanced with the barrel resting, so should be allowed to shine through. Three Cents Tonic Water works exceptionally well, but any premium tonic water will work almost as well.
In a large glass filled with ice add 50ml of the gin and top up with 100 - 150ml of tonic. Stir gently, and garnish with some orange peel.
