Mr. Copperhead constantly looks to evolve, and improve on his family of Gins. Inspired by alchemical heritage, he is still searching for the ‘the Elixir of Life’. This evolution led to the Black Batch, and we're really glad it did!
Through his studies, he learnt of the 'miraculous' elder tree and the tales of witchcraft and life prolongation which surround it. To stimulate the immune system, the gin has the pitch black berries of the Sambucus Nigra shrub added (these are more commonly known as elder berries... you may have heard of them!). This base is then carefully balanced out with the Black Ceylon tea
In the concoction of this variation, the 5 original Copperhead botanicals (juniper berries, cardamom, angelica, coriander seeds and orange zest) are used, and enhanced with Black Ceylon tea and the elderberry.
This variation of the Copperhead Original Gin recipe will really surprise your senses. Welcome to the delicious, darker side of gin.
This works particularly well with Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water, as it compliments and enhances the Ceylon tea botanical gin. In a large copa glass filled with ice, and 50ml of the gin and then gently pour in 150ml of the tonic (pouring slowly ensures more bubbles remain!). Garnish with a slice of lemon.
