Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin
Combining their award winning Rare Dry Gin with Yarra Valley Shiraz Grapes, Four Pillars have created this Limited Edition Bloody Shiraz Gin. "Bloody brilliant!" they say, and we don't disagree. This is a really unique combination, which works exceptionally well.
This experiment uses local cool climate Shiraz grapes. They steep the grapes in the gin for a period of eight weeks, which creates the vibrant reddish-purple colour. and imparts a fruity flavour and sweetness. It has become a cult-favourite, perfectly balancing the sweet fruit and ginny goodness.
The nose of the gin keeps the juniper from the gin through its pine needle aroma, along with citrus, spice, and uniquely the almost peppery raspberry notes. The palate is sweet, long and has a long juniper note carried through the fruity tones - with a spiced finish.

This is perfectly served over ice with Lobster's Bitter Lemon (if you're not a fan of quinine), or Lobsters Tonic with a wedge of grapefruit as a garnish. The tartness from the citrus helps counter the sweetness of the Bloody Shiraz Gin.
Take a large glass filled with ice and pour in 50ml of the gin. Add 150 - 200ml of your chosen mixer, stir well and add your garnish.
