Foxdenton Christmas Liqueur

The Foxdenton Spirits & Liqueurs Company was created in 1935 by Major Charles Radclyffe. It was named after his ancestral home of Foxdenton Estate - which was acquired through marriage in 1367. The family had a history of hunting and shooting, and after these pursuits it was common to enjoy fruit liqueurs.

The current owner, Nicholas Radclyffe found these fruit liqueurs to be too sweet. So he began making these himself - using traditional English recipes with gin as a base. To his astonishment, these were enjoyed by others too. So, in collaboration with Thames Distillers he began by creating the perfect gin (their Foxdenton 48) for sale on its own, and to use in creating their fruit liqueurs.

For their Christmas Liqueur, Foxdenton have taken inspiration from flavours traditionally enjoyed around the festive period.

They use their Foxdenton Gin as a base for the liqueur, and then combine it with rich Winslow plums, and a blend of Christmas Spices (including Ginger, Clove, Cinnamon and Star Anise).

This gives a rich and inviting aroma and flavour to the liqueur, full of fruit and spice - and which is best enjoyed with good company!

Perfect Serve

Whilst this is easily enjoyed neat, it also works exceptionally well when mixed with sparkling wine, prosecco or maybe even champagne!
