Magellan Gin 70cl
Floral, with a peppery bite and distinct blue colouring, this gin makes a subtley different gin and tonic
Inspired by Ferdinand de Magellan’s world travels; this is a French, blue-colored gin which is handcrafted in small batches.
Floral in aroma, this gin has more of a spicy note than you would expect from it. Some of the botanicals used in the crafting of this product are Cassia, Coriander, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Orange Peel, which are all to be found in the taste (and some to a lesser extent in the aroma).
This gives a somewhat floral gin, with a bite of pepper. Quite distint.
There is nothing artificial about the colouring on this gin, which is entirely natural. As the final part of the distilling process, Iris flowers are soaked in the gin, which imparts the colour, as well as flavour and a delightful aroma.
Due to the colour (which you wouldnt want to miss), and the distinct flavour profile, this is best enjoyed as a "blue gin and tonic". Mix 50ml of the gin with 150ml of a neutral tonic (we recommend East Imperial Tonic Water for this one) over ice, and stir gently. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
