Mates Gold Rum
Mates started its journey here in The Netherlands in 2019 when Bart and two of his Mates officially registered Mates Spirits and blended their first 3000 bottles of Mates Gold Rum.
Made with a unique blend of 3-5 year aged Rums from the Caribbean, Mates rum is "Made by Mates, for Mates".
Without adding additional sugar, or other additives, Mates use three different rums in their blend. From Barbados they take an English style rum, which adds smoothness to the overall drink. Dominican Rum rum, which is of a more spanish style, adds a greater sweetness. Finally some Jamaican rum is added which adds a light fruitiness.
The overall result has a natural sweetness (it is rum!), and is fruity and smooth. The ideal drink for when you're with your mates!
Good to know.... Mates care about the environment. Their glass bottle is 35% lighter than the original, which means less CO2 emissions per bottle during manufacturing and also throughout the entire supply chain

Perfect Serve
Mates Gold Rum is full of flavour and can be paired with a variety of different mixers. Fentimans Curiosity Cola is perfect for a classic rum and cola, or for something lighter, Fentimans Rose Lemonade is a great choice.
Mates signature serve is a Light 'n Sunny. In a large glass filled with ice, add 50ml of Mates Gold Rum and top up with 150-200ml of Fentimans Ginger Ale and garnish with a slice of lemon.
