Nordic Spirits Lab Nordic Gin
In it's pure white bottle, it's not hard to imagine this bottle coming straight out of the Nordic region.
Aquavit is also something well known within the Nordics, and in each of the Nordic countries, its enjoyed at different times in different ways. But alwats with friends.
Sharing a lot of similar ingredients with gin, Aquavit's only difference is its key botanical - caraway or dill as opposed to juniper berries. This makes it a perfect companion to gin, and so - with their Nordic gin, Nordic Spirits have created a delicious gin (with juniper!), and added the common aquavit botanicals.
As well as the juniper, and aquavit botanicals, a total of 10 carefully selected botanicals are used in the creation of this gin (including meadowsweet, bitter orange and violet)
This is definitely a quirky and fresh gin, but one with a real Nordic twist!
The aroma of this gin has delightful floral notes, complimented by fresh citrus. The taste is strong and full, crisp juniper and coriander greet you initially, before more subtle citrus and floral notes come through. These deliver a complexity and elegance which is a delight to the palate.
Perfect Serve
Delicious drunk simply, this works particularly well with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water. Take a large glass filled with ice, and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of tonic, and garnish simply with a slice of lemon.
