A bolder expression of Bombay Saphire, with an intensely smooth flavour
Star of Bombay Gin
Expanding on the success of their signature style in the Bombay Sapphire Gin, they have created a bolder expression with Star of Bombay.
They have expanded on their original ten botanicals by adding two carefully selected additional botanicals. These are the Ambrette seed (which they source solely from Ecuador) and the gently dried and hand-picked bergamot orange peel (from Calabria in southern Italy).
Slowing down the vapour infusion process, they ensure the integrity of the 12 botanicals. This means the distillation process takes longer, and ensures rich aromas and deeper flavours in the gin.
The whole process ensures that Star Of Bombay is an exceptionally smooth gin, with a distinctly intenser flavour than the original Bombay Sapphire from the additional botanicals. Yet it still maintains its fresh and clean flavour and aroma.

Whilst this was designed to be enjoyed on its own, in a Martini, or in a variety of contemporary cocktails, it also works exceptionally well in a gin tonic.
In a large glass filled with ice, pour 50ml of the gin in. Top up with 100ml of a premium tonic water (we like this with Fentimans Connoiseurs Tonic, but any premium neutral tonic will work). Stir gently, and garnish simply with a slice of orange.
