The Botanist Gin 70cl
Description
The Botanist Gin
The Botanist is distilled in the Isle of Islay, the southernmost of the Inner Hebrides islands, off the coast of Scotland. It takes it's name from the wild local botanicals used in the recipe and from the local botanists that collect them.
The 22 native, hand-foraged local botanicals delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds and peels (Cassia, Coriander, Juniper, Orange, Cinnamon, Lemon, Licorice, Angelica Root and Orris Root). The achingly slow distillation happens in "Ugly Betty", a Lomond Still, one of the last in existence.
The Botanist is satin smooth, gliding over the palate like no gin you have ever tried before. The taste is rich and mellow; cool on entry then as it reaches the back palate, you can feel the warmth of slow unhurried distillation. This is a bewitching, delectable and luxurious gin; its citrus freshness excites and stimulates the senses.
