Tonka Gin
Whilst travelling through Spain Daniel Soumikh noticed that Tonka Beans were used not only for culinary purposes, but also on the bar scene.
Within its unmistakeable and elegant taste, Daniel worked for almost two years to create his Tonka Gin. In 2014, after working with bartenders and his chosen distillery, Tonka Gin was born.
The gin is produced in a small distillery near Hamburg, located in an idyllic location surrounded by fruit trees. To ensure a consistent quality, everything from production of the distillate, through bottling and labelling is done by hand. Each bottle incudes a handwritten label, which contains production and bottle number, as well as the month and year of production.
The Tonka bean in distinctly noticeable in this gin, and most definitely the star of the show. It has notes such of sweet vanilla, tart bitter almonds and delicate spicy hay flowers. These all blend perfectly to create this unique and special taste experience.

Perfect Serve
The unique flavours in this gin ensure this can be savoured and sipped neat over ice (but be careful... this is 47% abv!).
For a longer more refreshing drink, take a large copa glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic, and stir gently. Garnish with a vanilla bean.
