Also known as Lion's Milk, Yeni Raki is the perfect aniseed liquor
With both a rich heritage, and flavour Yeni Raki has tones of Aniseed and distilled grapes, it is layered and dramatic.
The flavour is created through a highly crafted distillation process. It's a skilled and timely process with the flavour and texture developing with every drop.
Grapes are removed from their stems and pressed to create suma. The suma is then twice distilled and mixed with aniseed on the second ditillation process in traditional copper stills. This finished Yeni Raki is then aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 30 days to mellow and develop its final distinctive taste.
It should ideally be drunk by adding water. This creates an "almost mythical transformation" as the clear liquid turns to a milky colour. This, over time has attracted the name "Lion's Milk"
