Buss No. 509 Master Cut Gin
Initally released in 2016, as part of their Choice Cut gins, this has become a permanent member of the range due to its popularity.
As this has a slightly higher than average alcohol content, it helps bring forward the botanicals found within the gin, in particular the citrus elements. This is truly a citrus gin!
The botanicals found within this gin are lime, grapefruit, juniper, coriander, fresh oranges, fresh lemons, liquorice root, angelica, vanilla, cardamom and iris root.
Both the aroma and flavours of this gin are citrus-forward, with a big burst of zesty orange and pithy grapefruit. As the flavours develop in the mouth lemon also comes through. A touch of angelica gently rounds this gin out.

Perfect Serve
Two options for mixing this gin. If you want to accentuate the orange flavours, try Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic. Whilst this isn't overly orange flavoured - it has oils from the zest which blend perfectly with this gin. Alternatively, to simply enjoy the citrus notes mix with your favourite neutral tonic.
With either option, take a large copa glass and fill with ice. Pour in 50ml of the gin and top up with 150ml of your chosen mixer. Stir gently, and garnish with a slice of orange and a slice of lemon.
