Elephant Strength Gin

The inspiration behind the creation of Elephant Gin came from numerous trips to Africa. The founders had many adventures across Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya, and were struck with a desire to help conservation efforts for the African Elephant.
A Sundowner is a drink, typically a Gin & Tonic which was enjoyed during British Colonial times. It marked the transition between day and evening and is still enjoyed in many parts of Africa to this day (particularly with tourists). Combining this tradition with their desire to help - they hit upon the idea of Elephant Gin.
The core behind the original Elephant London Dry Gin, and this, their Elephant Strength is the same fourteen botanicals (which include rare African ingredients). However, in the Elephant Strength (a Navy Strength) the abv is higher (at 57%), and they use twice the quantity of botanicals. This ensures the flavours really stand out!
Interesting fact: Elephant Gin donate 15% of their profit from each bottle towards elephant conservation projects.
The botanicals are truly focused on the juniper, orange peel, mountain pine and African buchu (which has a blackcurrant-like flavour). This gives a powerful aroma and taste - however, the silky smoothness which Elephant Gins are known for is retained.

Perfect Serve
A truly versatile gin, this can be enjoyed sipped over ice, in a classic gin and tonic or it especially holds its flavour well in the mix too due to the higher abv and additional botanicals.
We love this as a classic gin and tonic though. Take a large glass and add ice before pouring in 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 200ml of your chosen tonic, and stir gently. Garnish with a few slices of a crisp fresh apple.
