Harahorn White Lemon Gin 50cl
Using their original (and delicious) gin, Harahorn created a delicious citrus forward gin to celebrate their five year anniversary
Description
Harahorn White Lemon Gin
In 2020 Det Norske Brennei celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Harahorn brand. To mark the occasion, they created a new, special edition White Lemon Gin.
Whilst this still utilises the same Norwegian herbs and berries found in their Harahorn Gin, as the name would suggest, it also has a number of citrus' sourced from around the world. (The original botanicals are, where possible, sourced in Norway and are Juniper berries from Røros, blueberries from Nordmarka, rhubarb from Grimstad, bladder tang from Skagerrak, kvann from Oppdal and mint from Sunndal are all added to the recipe with Norwegian potato spirit to give a total of 16 botanicals).
As would be expected from a gin with Lemon in its name, the aroma has delicious citrus notes to it, joined by fresh peppermint, a little licorice and a gentle floral background.
In the taste these notes come through too, blending perfectly. However it's definitely the citrus, and lemon in particular, which remains through from the first sip right to the finish.

Perfect Serve
Whilst this works perfectly in a classic gin and tonic, it also adds a delicious citrus edge when utilised in cocktails. Try in a martini for a citrus twist.
Our favourite way of enjoying this though is with Fentimans Elderflower Tonic. This adds a light sweetness to it, and results in a really refreshing gin a& tonic. Take a tall glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of the tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a thin sliver of rhubarb (or blueberries if easier), and some lemon zest.
