Known since the Golden Age in Groningen, their ancestors preferred to mix Star Anise with warm milk. This helped warm the soul on those (too often) days of sweltering rain and icy cold over the land.

Keeping this tradition at heart, Hooghoudt created this delicious warm spiced liqueur.

This is a 100% natural product, and the extraction of the flavours follows a traditional family recipe made since 1931.

Perfect Serve

This can be served neat at room temperature, but can also be enjoyed like our grandparents did - with some warm milk. Perfect on a cold day, or as a warming drink before bed.
