Opihr Exotic Citrus Gin - Arabian Edition

Using a base of the unmistakable Opihr London Dry Gin, their Arabian edition adds distinctive botanicals from along the ancient spice route.

With bursts of Persian black lemons, heightened by the zesty citrus flavour of Timut peppers, The Arabian Edition truly captures the flavours form the Arabian peninsula.

This truly is deliciously rich and intense in the Arabian citrus and spices inherent in the Opihr gin. The aroma has smooth soft almost perfume notes from the core whish is juniper (it is gin!). This is balanced exceptionally well with concentrated citrus notes from the Black Lemons, galangal (similar to ginger) and timut peppers.

The taste doesn't disappoint, and brings all the flavours found in the aroma to the mouth. It's a richly smooth, rounded London Dry Gin; soft camphor, zingy and sharp bursts of green citrus notes with a delicate, but not overpowering sweetness. It finishes long, with a warming mouthfeel that lingers, maintaining its intensity.

Perfect Serve

This works well with a tonic (we like this with Double Dutch Indian Tonic Water), or citrus led lemonade such as East Imperial Yuzu Lemonade which really makes for a strong citrus led drink.

For a cocktail, try this in a Spiced Daiquiri. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 40ml of the gin, 10ml Kaffir lime leaf liqueur (or any lime liqueur), 15ml lime juice and 20ml sugar syrup. Shake well, and then strain into a coupette glass. Garnish with a bay leaf.
