Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka
After the success of their Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin, The Shed Distillery have now made their own vodka.
However.... true to form, it's definitely not just any old vodka! PJ Rigney (the distiller) has travelled all over the world looking for the perfect ingredients for his creations, and with their Irish vodka they have used the fruit of the Kigelia Africana, also known as the sausage tree, due to the fruit bearing a resemblance to sausages (and hence the name of the vodka.... there are no sausages in the bottle!).
They combine the fruit with Irish grain and wild nettles (found in the unspoiled woodlands of Drumshanbo) creating a fascinating, slightly fruity and herbaceous vodka.

Perfect Serve
The Shed Distillery's signature serve for this drink is a take on a Vodka Soda, and we have to agree this works really well.
In a glass with a few ice cubes, add 40ml of the vodka and top up the glass with a premium soda water (we like this with East Imperial Soda Water). Squeeze a wedge of lime into the glass, and then garnish with a thick slice of orange.
