Delivery Times & Shipping Costs

If you order before 17:00 on a week day your order will be dispatched the same day.

We always do our best to ensure you receive your order as soon as possible, and in the majority of cases you will receive your order the next day (Tue - Sat). As we do not deliver ourselves we cannot unfortunately guarantee any delivery times. 

 

Tracking

Please ensure your email address is correctly entered as all tracking details are sent via email. As of July 2022 PostNL / DPD no longer leave a delivery attempted card if you are not at home. This information will be sent via email or be found in the PostNL app ONLY.

 

Age Verification

Please note that all orders which contain alcohol will be sent with an age verification service. This is a legal requirement, and means packages cannot be left with neighbours / those under 18. 

 

Delivered by PostNL

If ordered before 17:00 on a weekday, delivery will be the next day (Tue - Sat). Delivery is generally between 9am and 6pm

Collect at PostNL Point

If ordered before 17:00 on a weekday, delivery to the collection point will be the next day (Tue - Sat). You will be notified via email / PostNL app when your packet is ready for collection.

NB: As we are required to send with an age check, PostNL will not leave your parcel with anyone underage or your neighbours. If you believe you will not be at home, we strongly suggest you chose to have this delivered to a PostNL collection point instead

 

Items not collected / Returned Items

If PostNL are not able to deliver your parcel, they will then send to a Pickup point. This will be notified only by email or in your PostNL app. Please remember that items held at a PostNL pickup point will only be held for 7 days.

If DPD are unable to deliver, they will attempt a second delivery (and notify by email). If this is not possible, the parcel will be returned to us. 

After 7 days, or the second delivery attempt (if not succesful), your parcel will be returned to us. Unfortunately this is charged, and therefore counts as a return - with all associated implications and costs (currently €9,95).

 

Collect in Almere (Mon - Fri 12 till 1700)

If you live in or near Almere, you can of course also collect your order from us directly, and obviously there will be no delivery charge!  You will be notified by email when the packet is ready for collection, and please remember to bring a bag / box for your order as well as a valid for of age verification.

Why no Free Delivery?

This is simple: the costs we incur for shipping (unfortunately PostNL do not send for free), must be paid in one way or another.

A lot of online stores simply add these costs into their product price. We don't do this. We instead work hard to keep our prices as low as possible - and therefore must charge a contribution towards the shipping costs. We bellieve transaparency is a more honest approach.

We have seen continued price pressure due to increasing packaging costs. The boxes we use must be sturdy, to ensure they are safe to ship glass. PostNL have increased their prices again, as well as the legal requirement to send using the premium Age Verification service - which as of the 5th July PostNL are increasing the price for. 

All of these costs mean that the price we charge for sending your parcel, is only a small portion of what we are charged. But by charging a contribution towards this, means we continue to ensure we price our products at a very competitive price.

 

Shipping Outside the Netherlands

Currently in the EU we are only able to ship alcohol within the Netherlands. However, we will be looking to expand our reach as soon as we can. Check back, or sign up to our newsletter to keep informed.

Should you wish to arrange collection of an order from us, this is possible. However we will charge Dutch VAT and excise on your order. You will then be responsible for any tax / excise liabilities for the shipments to your country. Please contact us at Customer Service so that we can discuss the options.

Outside EU:

If you would like us to ship outside the EU, we can potentially arrange this. Please contact us at Customer Service so that we can discuss the options.

Please note that we are not able to ship to Middle Eastern Countries, the United States and Canada. (Within the United States there are severe restrictions on the importation of alcohol, more information for the US can be found on the NCSL site).

NB. Due to UK tax formalities, we are not able to ship to the UK.
