With their Smoky Black Blender's Edition, The Famous Grouse have created a whisky with a distinct smokier side.
Expertly blending a rare peated malt, their blenders have produced a deliciously smoky yet sweet whisky. The whisky itself has a dark, russet colour and is presented in a characterful bottle with a unique bird adorning the front.
It's a smooth whisky, peaty and aromatic. The aroma indicates the smokiness of the whisky and has a rich aromatic nuance. The flavours are complex yet approachable, with dried fruit and spices (in particular aniseed and cloves come through) and has soft smoky notes. The smoke contines through in the finish which is long and sweet too.
