Pink 47 London Dry Gin
Presented in a faceted pink diamond bottle, it's this - along with the colour which is likely to catch your eye. However, this Pink 47 gin is full of flavour which will definitely keep your interest!
Distilled using a neutral grain alcohol base, 12 botanicals are used in its creation, these include citrus fruits and almond from Spain, cassia, west african nutmeg and Italian juniper along with several exotic oriental spices. Interestingly, there are also two different kinds of coriander and angelica, both of which add an interesting note to the gin. The 47 in the name refers to the slightly higher than usual alcohol content (47%). This which enables the gin to capture a greater amount of the botanical flavours.
It should be noted this isnt a typical 'pink gin', and isnt sweetened at all.
This has a classic junpier aroma, which is joined by herbaceous notes, a hint of mint and coriander coming through. On the palate there are crisp flavours, with juniper releasing its piney notes in a herbaceous wave of flavour. Herbal notes join towards the mid-palate, with sweetened angelica, bitter orange and a hint of nutmeg all coming through. The finish is short, dry and with a delicate heat towards the end of the herbal notes

Perfect Serve
This works perfectly in a classic gin tonic, and we love it with The Artisan Drinks Co's Pink Citrus Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of gin. Gently pour in 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
For a deliciously different cocktail, try a Bronx Gin Cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add 45ml of the gin, 10ml each of dry and sweet vermouth and 25ml of orange juice. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
