De Kuyper Blue Curaçao 50cl
A vibrant blue liqueur, with a bitter orange flavour from De Kuyper
Description
De Kuyper Blue Curaçao
The history of the De Kuyper company goes back to 1695, when Petrus De Kuyper married Anna Custers. The company is still owned by the same family, with the current owners tracing their ancestry back to this couple.
In the 1920's De Kuyper started producing liqueurs and by the 1930's they were producing over twenty types of liqueurs. For the fourth year running now, they have been recognised as “Liqueurs Producer of the Year” by the International Spirits Challenge.
Part of their 'Essentials' range (it should be in every drinks cabinet!), this Blue Curaçao liqueur is made with bitter orange peels - giving it an intense citrus flavour. The addition of colouring gives its distinctive blue colour - which is utilised in many cocktails.

Perfect Serve
This is a liqueur which is made for mixing - and is found in a variety of cocktails. Our favourite is the Blue Lagoon.
To make this vibrant cocktail yourself at home, fill a highball glass to the brim with ice cubes. Pour in 50ml of the Blue Curaçao, 25ml of vodka and 25ml of lime juice. Top up with a lemonade such as Sprite or 7-up, and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of orange.
