Elephant Orange Cocoa Gin

The inspiration behind the creation of Elephant Gin came from numerous trips to Africa. The founders had many adventures across Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya, and were struck with a desire to help conservation efforts for the African Elephant.
A Sundowner is a drink, typically a Gin & Tonic which was enjoyed during British Colonial times. It marked the transition between day and evening and is still enjoyed in many parts of Africa to this day (particularly with tourists). Combining this tradition with their desire to help - they hit upon the idea of Elephant Gin.
The core behind the original Elephant London Dry Gin, and this, their Elephant Orange & Cocoa Gin is the same fourteen botanicals (which include rare African ingredients). However, in the Orange Cocoa they add the two additional ingredients - sweet organic oranges, and gently roasted cocoa beans.
Interesting fact: Elephant Gin donate 15% of their profit from each bottle towards elephant conservation projects.
The original and core gin doesnt hide in this edition - rather gives the gin a solid base from which to highlight the additional ingredients.
The blend of the sweet, zesty citrus notes from orange merge perfectly with the velvety dry chocolate flavours derived from the cocoa bean. This provides an intruiguingly fresh and complex flavour profile to their smooth London Dry Gin.

Perfect Serve
A truly versatile gin, this can be enjoyed sipped over ice, or a classic gin and tonic. It also adds a surprising flavour to cocktails.
We love this as a classic gin and tonic though. A good quality tonic like Fever-Tree Mediterranean works exceptionally well. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of orange and a sprig of rosemary.
