Independence Single Malt Irish Whiskey - Stout Cask Finish 70cl
Description
Independence Single Malt Irish Whiskey - Stout Cask Finish
(Previously known as Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey)
With their Blended Irish Whiskey, the distillery aims to honour both the history and the people behind the birth of the Proclamation (the document which proclaimed the establishment of the Irish Republic in 1916).
As a triple distilled whiskey, it pays tribute to the three printers of the Proclamation, William O’Brien, Michael Molloy and Christopher Joseph Brady. After this process it is aged in aged in american, before being matured in ex-Irish stout casks which imparts a rich, well-rounded flavour.
The nose has rich notes of chocolate, tonka beans, blackberry and toasted oatmeal.
The palate is rich, full of dried fruits, mocha, cinnamon, and cream. This leads in to a smooth finish with subtle notes of roasted ground coffee

Perfect Serve
We liked this best enjoyed neat - as the stout ageing brings a range of flavours which we found best savoured simply.

Copycat of Proclamation Whiskey. This is the exact same whiskey as Proclamation Whiskey no difference at all. You cant beat the original. We don't need copycats its the original that counts. Shameful behaviour.
GF Comment: Proclamation has been re-branded as Independence - it's not a copycat, its the same product :)Posted on
