Ron Cristóbal Niña 70cl
Description
Ron Cristóbal Niña
Named after the exploer Christopher Colombus, Ron Cristóbal is a series of premium rums for the world's adventurers. The bottle even has his portrait on it. Made in the Dominican Republic, these rums showcase the unique rum flavours of the region.
Produced, distilled and fermented by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, they harvest their own sugarcane, ensuring that the rum only contains crops from the Dominican Republic. They also play a significant role in the community, and as the largest alcohol producer, employ hundreds of locals.
Ron Cristóba Niña is named after one of Christopher Colombus' ships. Due to a mutiny in the colony and lack of funds, the ship was sold - the ship's destiny remains unknown. This rum is a blend of rums that have been tropically aged between 8-12 years in ex Bourbon casks.
On the nose, this rum is incredibly complex and balanced. The aroma is of unripe strawberries and light floral notes, that are rounded with hints of fresh oak, delicious sweet crème brulée, topped off with caramelised sugar. On the palate, there are flavours of chocolate mint and marshmallows, leading to a soft and gentle finish with a touch of vanilla, leaving a silky mouthfeel.
