Introduction
Rynbende have a history going back more than 200 years. The distillery was established in 1793, by Simon Rybende in the world's Jenever capital, Schiedam. A former sailor, he turned to business, and distilling, and was even appointed the Mayor of Schiedam.
A New Generation of Rynbende
The Rynbende brand has had highs and lows during it's history and was re-ignited again in 2022, when the original Rynbende recipes were passed down to another generation through inheritance. Now called Rynbende Spirits, the focus is on producing high end spirits, with a selective distribution network (of which Gin Fling is happy to be one).
Limited Experimental Edition
The Experimental Batch Vintage Gin is the second release from Rynbende Dutch Spirits, and is strictly limited. With only 140 bottles made, it won't be around for long.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: There is a soft salaine aroma
Taste: On the palate, the warm spices of green peppercorns, ginger and chilli are softened with a drop of honey and fresh citrus notes. There is a touch of saltiness from the addition of purified Oosterschelde water.
Finish: It is deliciously soft with a hint of saline and lingering notes of coriander and cloves.
