Talisker Storm Whisky
Produced on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, the Talisker distillery is the only functional single malt whisky distillery to be found there.
Initially released in 2013, Talisker's Storm Whisky has no age statement, but is matured in toasted American Oak casks.
This is an intense whisky - not unlike its Storm name. It delivers plenty of the characteristic flavours from the Talisker distillery alongside some smokier depth and complexity.
When thinking of the flavour profile, this has a similar base as their 10 year, but with the flavours heighten and 'turned up'. There is strong smoke and spice to it and the characteristic hint of salt reminding that this is still an Island whisky. The finish delivers a touch of dryness from the oak maturation, as well as hints of chilli.
If you're not a fan of smoky whiskies - we don't think this is the one for you!

With it's powerful profile of smoke and spice this whiksy can easily be enjoyed neat or on the rocks (preferably with a single large cube of ice). We also think it works well when mixed with a good ginger ale (try Fentimans Ginger Ale).
