The Duppy Share White Rum
Made with 100% Jamaican rum, The Duppy Share White Rum is full of Jamaican flavour.
It has taken 5 years to perfect and has been produced with Kano, a British rapper, musical pioneer and actor, from his memories, the smells and the flavours that reflect his Jamaican roots.
On the nose, there are bright and zesty tropical fruits (banana and mango), hints of lemongrass, fruity pineapple and white pepper. On the palate there is a rich sweetness and texture of caramel, notes of fresh cut sugarcane, fruity mango and a touch of pepper. The finish has a lingering sweetness with a clean pot still note that comes through as ripe banana with a hint of pimento berry.
The label also tells a story with scenes from Jamaica and from London where Kano now lives. There's his mums favourite Julie Mangoes in Jamaica, his barber in East Ham, a club where he performed his early sets, and on the back is an Empire Windrush ship. The ship represents the influence that the Windrush generation had on London and the rest of the UK.

The Duppy Share White Rum was designed to be enjoyed neat, and as shots (which is unusal for a white rum). It's also great in traditional white rum cocktails.
They say that the best way to start the evening is with a mojito!
Muddle together the juice of a fresh lime lime, a teaspoon of granulated sugar and a handful of mint leaves in a mixing glass. Pour into a tall glass and add ice, before adding 60ml The Duppy Share White Rum. Stir with a barspoon, top up with soda water and add a few mint leaves to garnish.
