Description
Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin
With the latest addition to their permanent range, Silent Pool have created a citrus gin, with delicate spicy notes.
They have scoured the World’s and sourced some of the rarest and most intriguing citrus. Buddha's Hand gives a bright, zesty, almost sherbet lemon aroma to the gin, which also works to lift all the other botanicals. Natsu Dai Dai gives rick mandarin notes, with a subtle lime accent. Seville Oranges (typically used for marmalade) are harvested whilst still green meaning the oils in the zest are at their most intense. This gives an intense orange depth to the gin. Lastly, Hirado Buntan is a variety of Japanese Pomelo. This brings a subtle grapefruit taste to the gin, along with a rich cramy mouthfeel, and delicate honey sweetness.
This is a naturally distilled and masterfully blended spirit, which balances bright and zesty with subtly sweet, Blends enticingly rich with delicately spiced and results in a refreshingly distinctive and beautifully aromatic gin.
Perfect Serve
Silent Pool's signature serve for this gin is a Rare Citrus G&T. In a glass filled with a handful of ice, add 50ml of the gin, and 100ml of Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water. Garnish with a twist of grapefruit zest (any citus zest would work though!). This is quite a strong gin tonic, so feel free to add a little more tonic if thats to your taste.
Or how about trying a twist on a Negroni? Using this gin will give a greater citrus twist to the cocktail, enhancing the fruit notes in the Campari.
