A delicious blend of calvados and blackcurrants from House Coquerel
Description
Coquerel Liqueur de Cassis au Calvados
The story of Domaine du Coquerel (House Coquerel) begins in 1937, when René Gilbert founded the company.
They are based in Manoir du Coquerel which is situated in Normandy. Originally they started with the production of Calvados (which they still make) and are within the area where AOC Calvados can be made. After the success of their Calvados, they now also create a range of gins (Normindia), and liqueurs.
With their Cassis Liqueur, they macerate blackcurrants (Cassis is French for blackcurrant) in their award winning Calvados.
Good to know: They don't use any artificial colours or preservatives in its creation
This maceration technique ensures the liqueur has an enticing deep colour, a delicious fruity aroma as well as a sweet fruity flavour.

Perfect Serve
This can be enjoyed simply on its own - and sipped. However it also works when adding to a sparkling wine, or lemonade to give a longer, sweet and fruity drink.
