Discarded Banana Peel Rum is made by infusing Caribbean rum with (you guessed it) waste banana peel. The rum is previously used to season whisky casks at William Grant and Sons, the makers of Grants and Glenfiddch whisky, amoungst other drinks. and is blended with an extract made from the peels. 

This tasty rum is rich and fruity, with inviting aromas of banana bread, treacle, butterscotch and cinnamon. On the palate, it's like creamy banpffee pie with notes of sticky toffee pudding, sweet fudge and milk choclate raisins, leading to a warming crystalized ginger finish.

This fruity rum is the perfect partner for ginger ale. Add ice to a glass and pour in 50ml Discarded Banana Peel Rum. Top up with 150-200ml Double Dutch Ginger Ale and enjoy.

For the cocktail lovers, how about a Banana Old Fashioned. Stir together 50ml Discarded Banana Peel Rum, 5ml sugar syrup and 3 dashes of chocolate bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice and enjoy.
