Ketel 1 Jenever 1L
A deliciously soft jenever - made by the Nolet family who have over 325 years of distilling experience
Description
Ketel 1 Jenever
This Jenever takes its name from the Ketel (still) used in its creation. Ketel 1 is the oldest copper pot still in Schiedam (the historic home of Jenever in the Netherlands). and is still in use today.
With over 325 years, and 11 generations of the Nolet family watching over it's production, there is a lot of history and expertise used in its creation.
This Jenever is created using pure ingredients. Grain distillates are mixed with an aged grain spirit, along with a carefully selected (and still secret) blend of herbs.
The distillers believe this is best savoured quietly, which allows the flavours to speak. It's fresh and full on the palate with notes of juniper and pepper. The finish is exceptionally long, ending soft.

Perfect Serve
Easily enjoyed on its own, from a Tulip glass - this jenever also works exceptionally well in the mix.
Try a 'Dutch and Stormy' cocktail for instance. Take a large glass, or copper mule mug, and fill with ice. Add 50ml of the Jenever, and 20ml of freshly squeezed lime juice. Stir gently, and then slowly fill the glass with ginger beer. If enjoyed, add a drop or two of Angosura Bitters and garnish with a lime wedge.
