Description
The Stillery's First Spelt Vodka
Located in Amsterdam, the Stillery has been producing their award winning vodka since July 2015. They take pride in making their spirits in Amsterdam, from grain to bottle.
The grain to bottle approach ensures The Stillery full control over their spirits, right through the distillation process.
Ensuring their vodka stands out from the crowd, they use local spelt grain. This type of grain has been around since farming began (hence 'first wheat', and has a lower starch content than wheat or barley. This means it produces less alcohol during fermentation, but adds a lot more flavour.
It is this unique grain which gives the unique taste to The Stillery's Vodka; It has a roundness to the flavour which is reminiscent of almonds. The mouth-feel is perfect, coating the palate with a delicious butteriness, a touch of marzipan and hints of white chocolate.

Perfect Serve
We'd suggest this is enjoyed on it's own, or with a neutral tonic to really appreciate the flavours. However it also works exceptionally well in the mix, and makes a really good Moscow Mule. In a large glass or mule mug filled with ice (crushed is great) add 50ml of the vodka and fill the glass with 150ml of ginger beer. Stir well and garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.
