Van Kleef Gin
Founded in 1842 in the heart of the city of the Hague, Van Kleef is now the last remaining jenever and liqueur brand to be found based there. They believe the quality, craftmanship, and the combined history in their drinks help to make a true "lifewater".
For their gin, they use a base of a grain alcohol - which helps ensure a smooth gin. Whilst the full recipe is a secret, the flavours in predominant flavours are juniper (it is gin!), coriander and angelica seed.
The result is a classic gin, but one with a twist. This is fresh gin with a little fruit to it.

Perfect Serve
We find this works particularly well with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
