White Lady

The White Lady is a delicious cocktail that was released in 1919 by the famous bartender Harry Mac Elhone while he worked at Ciro's Club in London.

Originally it was made with crème de menthe, triple sec and lemon. From 1929, the recipe that is still the favorite recipe has been adapted, namely gin, orange liqueur, lemon juice and egg white (optional).

Ingredients:

40ml London Dry Gin

30ml Cointreau / Triple Sec

20ml Fresh Lemon Juice

1 Eiwit (optioneel)

To Garnish

A slice of lemon zest

Method:

Add the gin, cointreau/triple sec, lemon juice, and egg white (if using) to a shaker and dry-shake (without ice) vigorously. Add ice cubes and shake again until the shaker feels cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
